Roger Delmont
Director & Screenwriter
Roger Delmont began his career in the industry as an actor and worked for years in Madrid in series such as “Cuéntame”, “Policías, en el corazón de la calle”, “Vent del plà” or in feature films such as “The Barbarian Years”, “ Master Strike”, or “Operation Gonad” among others.
Although from the beginning he always had a passion for writing and one day being able to direct his own stories. His first script, “The Black Bible”, premiered at the Sitges Festival and was in the Official section at the Oporto festival. After the sale of that first script, he left acting (that's why "he who covers a lot doesn't squeeze much") and graduated in film direction in New York, first at the NYFA and then at City Collage.
He then returned to Madrid with a personal promise not to sell any more scripts until he felt ready to direct it himself. And there begins his stage as an assistant director in advertising and later as an editor.
He returns to Barcelona to make his own mini series called “A pera picado”, the first national series exclusively for mobile devices, produced by tv3, which then makes the leap to the television grid with unanimous critical success. He then continued editing films such as “Morir en 3 acts” or programs such as “G20” for Tele 5. He also worked for a season as a scriptwriter and director on the successful program APM? from Tv3.
After writing and working on several pilots for television, he puts TV on hold to focus on his passion, cinema. Then you start moving your projects. He writes the script “Por una Nube”, named one of the hundred most interesting scripts of 2015 worldwide by the Capital Fund Competition in Hollywood and winner of the Cannes Screenplay Contest 2018 in the drama category. The script is also selected for the event “I+P Ideas to produce” of the Galician audiovisual cluster.
This is followed by the romantic science fiction film “Kintsukuroi”, a project that is selected in the 3rd FilmarketHub pitchbox and is selected at the prestigious Oaxaca Film Fest as best international script. He currently works as a scriptwriter for the successful daily series “Com si fos ahir” for tv3, which is already in its seventh season, leader in ratings. And in February 2024, filming of his script “Raíces” begins, an atmospheric thriller deep in the Caribbean jungle with the support of the Puerto Rico Film Commission.
He currently combines his work as a screenwriter with directing and producing commercial spots, both traditional and AI-driven.
